A number of appliances are available which can be used either independently or in conjunction with braces treatment to help us achieve your goal.

Maxillary Expansion Appliances

A Maxillary Expansion Appliance gently widens the upper jaw to create space for crowded teeth and improve the way your upper and lower teeth fit together. It’s most commonly used in growing children and can help reduce the need for more complex treatment later.

Twin Block Appliance

The Twin Block is a removable appliance designed to guide the lower jaw into a better position while your child is still growing. When worn as instructed, it can improve bite alignment and encourage healthy jaw development.

Herbst Appliance

The Herbst Appliance is a fixed appliance that gently encourages the lower jaw to move forward, helping to correct an overbite. Because it’s fixed in place, it works continuously without relying on patient compliance.

Quad Helix

The Quad Helix is a fixed appliance used to widen the upper arch and create additional space for crowded teeth. It can also help correct crossbites while improving the overall alignment of your smile.

Face Mask (Reverse Pull Headgear)

A Face Mask is used in growing children to encourage the upper jaw to develop forward and improve an underbite. It is typically worn at home and often used alongside a palatal expander for the best results.

Headgear

Orthodontic headgear helps guide jaw growth and tooth movement in cases where braces alone aren’t enough. Worn for a prescribed number of hours each day, it assists in correcting bite and jaw alignment.

Distal Jet

The Distal Jet is a fixed appliance that gently moves the upper back teeth into a better position, creating space and helping to correct certain bite problems. Because it works continuously, treatment is efficient and requires very little patient involvement.

Upper Removable Appliance

An Upper Removable Appliance is custom-made to guide developing teeth into a better position and create additional space where needed. It’s most commonly used during early orthodontic treatment and should be worn as directed for the best results.

Lower Lingual Arch

A Lower Lingual Arch is a fixed appliance placed behind the lower teeth to maintain valuable space for incoming adult teeth. It helps prevent crowding by stopping the back teeth from drifting forward during development.

Transpalatal Arch (TPA)

A Transpalatal Arch connects the upper molars to maintain their position during treatment. It helps preserve space, improve tooth alignment and support other orthodontic appliances where needed.

Pendulum Appliance

The Pendulum Appliance gently moves the upper molars backwards to create space and improve tooth alignment. It’s commonly used before braces to help reduce crowding and prepare your smile for treatment.

Functional Appliances (General)

Functional appliances are designed to guide jaw growth and improve the relationship between the upper and lower jaws while children are still growing. They can reduce the need for more complex orthodontic treatment later by correcting bite issues early.

These are intentionally concise (around 2–3 sentences each) to work well within a tabbed interface while giving patients enough information to understand the purpose of each appliance.
